KERAMIKEN
KERAMIKEN is your local ceramics studio at Mariatorget, Stockholm.
Here you can take one of our courses in the craft and learn to throw on the wheel or hand-build in clay.
There is also room in our studio to become a member and come and make your own ceramics in your own time, whenever it suits you. We have a flexible booking system where you book your own hours as it suits you.
The studio has 10 pottery wheels and several hand-building stations. All our beautiful glazes, underglazes and tools are included.

The Workshop of My Dreams
As a child, I did ceramics for a couple of years at Midsommargården – mainly because my mum loved ceramics. I think she felt that working with my hands would suit a very lively girl with lots of energy – and she was absolutely right. So it was wonderful, as an adult, to find my way back to something I thought I had “forgotten”. After all those years, the memory was still there in my hands. After one weekend course I was hooked.
After several years of ceramics courses in Stockholm and Uppsala, and then working in other people’s studios, I decided to take the plunge and open my own ceramics studio. It took time to find the right premises, but at last there it was, on Maria Prästgårdsgata by Mariatorget!
KERAMIKEN
I want to create a space that – as well as being a place for creativity – is also a social meeting place. A studio where you meet others who share the same interest in ceramics and can become part of something bigger. A place to be inspired, to learn, to relax and to switch off. To share ideas and try them out – and succeed or fail – together.
I am incredibly happy to finally make my dream studio a reality, and I know my mum would have been immensely proud.
