When I’m not at KERAMIKEN, I work full-time as an art educator at a museum, where I explore art together with babies, children and young people in different ways.

I studied at Konstfack (University of Arts, Crafts and Design) and have done quite a lot of sculpture, but wheel throwing was something I had never tried. A few years ago I decided to learn the craft, and I’ve been completely hooked ever since! It’s fun and challenging to learn new things. For me, throwing is total relaxation – you have to keep your full focus on the clay and the different stages of the craft, and you can’t think about anything other than what you have in your hands right then. It’s so restful. Throwing has become my own space in life, and I always long to get back to the wheel.

I like throwing functional pieces in simple shapes, glazed in the colours of nature – made to be used every day.
