Ceramics came to me during my art teacher training, where clay offered so much more than just aiming for a finished piece.
In my job as a teacher, I see pupils develop confidence, skills and an inner calm when we work with ceramics at school. Clay gives me the same. Ceramics lets me breathe and unwind, while my creative process gets to develop.
I don’t have a specific visual language; instead, the clay is shaped by wherever my imagination leads me. I am, however, drawn to geometric patterns and organic forms. My choice of colours shifts depending on mood, season and form, although I am drawn to warm, natural tones.
I am forever grateful that I found ceramics and hope we stay together forever!
