Oval Porcelain Bowl with Foot, Nerikomi – Blue-Striped

An elegant bowl with a small round foot, made in porcelain clay with coloured clay and a transparent glaze. Made using the nerikomi technique, where differently coloured pieces of clay are layered together and sliced so that the pattern runs right through the piece – a patient technique that gives each piece a unique pattern.

The bowl is versatile and works just as well for serving as it does as a lovely jewellery bowl, for example on the bedside table. It measures 12.8 cm in width and 4.5 cm in height.

Food safe and dishwasher safe.

All our pieces are handmade and hand-glazed. This means variations in clay and glaze can occur – and that is part of the charm of handmade work: nothing is completely “perfect”, but everything is unique.
