Evening Course – Intermediate, Autumn 2026

Tuesday evenings 18:00–21:00 – 7 sessions of 3 hours, starting 20 October 2026

Break in week 49 for bisque firing. The last session is in week 50, on 8 December.

Welcome to a course for those who have taken one or two ceramics courses, know the basics and want to develop their wheel throwing and/or hand-building.

The idea of this course is to challenge you and help you move forward in your ceramic practice, and the course outline may vary a little depending on the participants’ wishes and experience. Every participant has access to their own pottery wheel during the course. You can choose whether to focus more on throwing techniques, hand-building or both.

The course plan includes elements such as:
  • Planning your work – do you have a project in mind that you would like to create during the course?
  • Taking your throwing or hand-building to the next level
  • Throwing techniques for different types of objects
  • Throwing large, small, flat and tall
  • Hand-building techniques
  • Reclaiming clay
  • Different decorating techniques before bisque firing
With the course plan as a guideline, the level will be adapted to the group’s needs and wishes. A large part of the course is also independent work, where you can focus on the steps that interest you most, with individual guidance from the course leader.

Coffee and tea are on us.

The course fee includes 3 kg of stoneware clay; after that you can buy more stoneware clay for SEK 70 per kg. For those who want to try it, porcelain clay is also available for SEK 100 per kg. All our glazes, colour slips and underglaze colours are included, and we fire all course pieces.

About 4–6 weeks after the course ends, you can collect your finished pieces.

Cancellation

Your place is only booked once it has been paid for. You are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of payment under the Swedish right of withdrawal. After these 14 days, a cancellation fee of SEK 500 per place applies.
If you cancel 3–7 days before the course starts, 50% of the course fee is refunded; if you cancel less than 3 days before the course starts, only 25% of the fee is refunded.
If we manage to fill your place with someone from the waiting list, you only pay the cancellation fee of SEK 500.
If we have to cancel the course, the full course fee will be refunded.
