Small Porcelain Bowl with Foot, Nerikomi – Blue-Striped

A small bowl with a delicate little foot, made in porcelain clay with coloured clay and a transparent glaze. Made using the nerikomi technique, where differently coloured pieces of clay are layered together and sliced so that the pattern runs right through the piece – a patient technique that gives each piece a unique pattern.

The bowl is versatile: use it as a chopstick rest or for soy sauce, or as a small jewellery bowl. It measures 7.3 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm in height.

Food safe and dishwasher safe.

All our pieces are handmade and hand-glazed. This means variations in clay and glaze can occur – and that is part of the charm of handmade work: nothing is completely “perfect”, but everything is unique.
