Candlestick in Red Stoneware – Frost Glaze

A wheel-thrown candlestick in dark red stoneware clay, with a beautiful profile of soft curves and rings and a wide, sturdy base. The glaze settles like snow and frost over the clay – pale, speckled areas against a deep reddish-brown tone – and shifts beautifully over the rounded forms. Perfect for a standard taper candle.

This means variations in clay and glaze can occur – and that is part of the charm of handmade work: nothing is completely “perfect”, but everything is unique.
