Stoneware Lidded Jar, Wood-Inspired – 12 cm

A lidded jar in warm light-brown, coarse clay with black iron-oxide spots and a matte black knob that looks like a piece of charred wood – the same wood-inspired expression that runs through the whole series. The clay has lovely toasted-brown flashes from the kiln firing that give it extra character.

The jar is 12 cm tall (15 cm to the top of the knob), 10 cm in diameter at its widest, with an inner diameter of 7 cm. A decorative storage jar, perfect for jewellery or small things.

All our pieces are handmade and hand-glazed. This means variations in clay and glaze can occur – and that is part of the charm of handmade work: nothing is completely “perfect”, but everything is unique.
