Stoneware Vase, Raw Clay with Copper Green & Turquoise Crackle Glaze

A vase in speckled stoneware clay with a softly curved, slightly waisted shape. The outside is partly left raw, so the light speckled clay shows through, with a warm rusty-orange tone where the glaze meets the clay. The rest of the vase is covered in a mottled copper-green/grey glaze that has run freely into a beautiful pattern, with a band of glossy green crackle glaze running along the side.

The inside is fully glazed in a glossy turquoise crackle glaze that shifts from light sea green to deep green at the bottom.

All our pieces are handmade and hand-glazed. This means variations in clay and glaze can occur – and that is part of the charm of handmade work: nothing is completely “perfect”, but everything is unique.
